Who we are
We are an infoshop! This policy governs our relationship between you and this website (https://spartacusbooks.net) and our inventory site (https://inv.spartacusbooks.net/). It does not apply to internal services we may offer for use by collective members.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We are not interested in collecting your data unless its needed for a collective function. If you fill out a form we will collect data from this. Additionally we make use of some third parties which collect their own data.
When you fill out a form on our website (eg: Event booking or Volunteer application) we collect data needed to fulfill your request. This may include name, pronouns, email, and phone number. We store this information indefinetly in order to maintain a historical record of store events and volunteers and make informed collective decisions.
We have recently started offering book deliveries. When you request a book delivery we will collect information required to delivery the book. This includes your name, email, phone number, and address. We will store this information indefinetly in order to help us fulfill future orders.
spartacusbooks.net and inv.spartacusbooks.net: We use Cloudflare to mitigate security risks and provide greater reliable when accessing our website. Cloudflare may choose to set some cookies to perform analysis on traffic to detect threats. You can read more about these cookies at https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170156-Understanding-the-Cloudflare-Cookies#12345682. We do not have access to this cookie. If you want to access spartacusbooks.net without cookies, you can check out our technical security page for a TOR address.
inv.spartacusbooks.net: We currently store a session management cookie called “sessionId” that is used to identify your current browser session. This is currently unused in the application and you are welcome to block it.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We do not collect any personally identifiable analytics. We track how many people use our websites over time and the amount of data transferred. We also keep a log of which pages have been accessed on our server and at what time. This allows us to identify the source of errors if they do occur. This is done without any analytics code installed in your browser.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Requests for data must be emailed firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where we send your data
Submissions to any of our forms (delivery, volunteer, or events) are sent to google for processing and storage. Additionally your data will be stored inside our internal network which included both computers in our store and in data centers elsewhere.
